Open Every Sunday
9am – 2pm
(Closed Easter Sunday 2017)
After observing the Christmas Sunday and New Year’s Day Sunday holiday break, the weekly Farmer’s Market & Merchant Faire celebrates its return to Historic Downtown Clermont on Sunday January 8, 2017. Hours of the weekly market are 9:00am – 2:00pm every Sunday. The event is located from City Hall (between 7th Street and Lake Avenue) to near Livi & Tate (between 8th Street and West Avenue) on West Montrose Street in Downtown Clermont. The event is free to the public. Convenient ‘close-in’ parking is also free and is easily accessible from Minneola Street to public parking lots throughout downtown including City Hall’s two public parking lots (7th and Desoto).
Upwards to 70 to 80 ‘regular’ vendors, plus a number of seasonal merchants, join Downtown’s locally-owned small businesses, eateries and shops to offer shoppers and visitors the largest and the longest running weekly Sunday market in south Lake County. Now in its ninth year, the open-air market features fresh fruits and vegetables, including citrus, conventional and hydroponic produce, and booths offering fresh and frozen fish, free-range eggs, freshly baked breads and pastries and many Cottage Industry goods. A sampling of other items shoppers can expect to find range from dried Mexican delicacies to gluten-free items, dip mixes, teas, dried soups and Italian Olive Salad and other edibles. Food and food preparation/storage offerings are emphasized; however, many vendors offer handmade and homemade crafts, wearables, collectables, jewelry and even pet products (leashes, collars, clothing). Some notable features include knife sharpening, live music on the street, a small animal petting farm near the South Lake Animal League, and a number of vendors with plants, shrubs and trees. Downtown shops, including some of Clermont’s favorite casual dining restaurants, are open for business every day and welcome Farmer’s Market & Merchant Faire shoppers to experience the flavor and hospitality found in these locally-owned small businesses.

The Sunday Morning Downtown Clermont Farmer’s Market
9 Years Old & Growing!
You’re sure to find just what you’re looking for when you shop the open-air, outdoor market in Historic Downtown Clermont. For seven years, the Sunday Morning Farmer’s Market has been a favorite spot for people to purchase excellent quality perishables, collectables, wearables and so much more.
Montrose Street comes alive with 60 to 75 vendor booths on the street every Sunday from 9:00am until 2:00pm. Hundreds of Market shoppers find exactly what they’re looking for – and even some pleasant surprises (which is often the best part of the experience) they’re not expecting. Regular offerings include: Farm-fresh produce (hydroponic, conventional and a growing selection of organic); seasonal Florida citrus; expert knife sharpening; delicious homemade edibles of all sorts; quality and affordable handmade crafts for infants to elderly — and for pets, too! You’ll find a great selection of jams, jellies and local honey – and some include the honey comb! Try the fresh bread from Yalaha Bakery and Orlando Fresh Bakery and many varieties of homemade baked goods including pies, cinnamon rolls, cookies, cupcakes – direct from the oven to the Market! The Market offers fresh and frozen seafood, canned and pickled and dried foods and dips and sauces. Several vendors offer food preparation and food storage items from salts and spices to pots and pans including Tupperware and Pampered Chef. Plus you’ll enjoy live music performed by one of many musicians we host. The music adds to the wonderful, friendly, relaxed atmosphere of this community market.
Get the idea? This is truly one of the best Farmer’s Markets in Lake County, and, we’re told by many, in all of Central Florida. You’ve got to experience the Farmer’s Market to get the big picture! So, come see us. We’re here every Sunday!
One last note: All the retail stores in Historic Downtown Clermont are open during the Farmer’s Market. Shop to your heart’s desire – both on the street and in the shops! And if you’re hungry, you’ll find a Downtown restaurant or two eager to serve you with delicious dishes prepared just for you! Sit down, take a break, enjoy the Market!
(By the way, our Farmer’s Market is “dog friendly” … Your well-behaved and well-trained pooch, on a leash, is welcome…as is your attention to proper curbing and sanitation.)
On any given Sunday at the Farmer’s Market & Merchant Faire in Historic Downtown Clermont, 45 to 70 self-employed small business owners participate as weekly vendors in our outdoor, open-air market.
Many of these small, independent businesses who offer their wares in the open-air, outdoor market are here every Sunday while others are “in” and “out” depending on their schedules, etc., which may include other events they do through Central Florida. You will also find many of Downtown Clermont’s “brick-and-mortar” businesses are open for business. Those shops are locally owned, one-of-a-kind businesses that are ready to show you their products and services.
Additionally, new vendors join the Market quite often; therefore, a 100% accurate listing of which vendors are participating on any given Sunday is a challenge. So, here you will see vendors who are regular participants in our Farmer’s Market & Merchant Faire. We have also listed many of the Downtown businesses that are open on Sundays. All the merchants and vendors are eager to serve you! Check back often for updates!
