Congratulations! The SOUTH LAKE ART LEAGUE has been selected as the CLERMONT DOWNTOWN PARTNERSHIP’s “FEATURED BUSINESS OF THE MONTH”
The South Lake Art League was established in 1966 to encourage and promote all forms of art and its appreciation throughout the South Lake County, Florida area. The art league strives to bring people together who are interested in arts and to provide opportunities for classes and art and photo shows.
We have two member shows in the spring and two in the fall. A variety of classes are offered by local art teachers. We offer classes in colored pencil, drawing, jewelry making, mixed media, oils, photography, watercolor, and Zentangle. We also offer children’s classes. The South Lake Art League has a very active Photography Club.
The Art League Member meetings are usually held at 10:00AM the first Saturday of September, November, January, March, April, and May. After each general meeting an art demonstration takes place.
The Photography Club meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month from 6:30PM – 8:30PM.
Full membership allows members to exhibit two pieces of art each month in exchange for 4 hours of volunteer gallery sitting when there are no shows on display.
The gallery is located in historic downtown Clermont at 776 W. Montrose Street.
The Gallery hours:
